Jett came to us with an open oozing sore on a foot that was swollen more than three times its normal size, scars wrapping around his foot and leg bearing witness to the pain he must have endured having something wrapped around his foot and leg for so long and so tightly that it broke two toes, caused a bone infection and severe swelling and required treatment for more than a year to heal.
Fast forward to today, Jett could be a backup dancer for Pharrell’s song “Happy”. He is a big, goofy, happy boy that enjoys life. He would love an active family, no little children, please. If you’re a runner, Jett could be your best friend. If you know how to throw a ball, Jett could be your best friend. He will even bring it back to you. Of course, when he brings it back, he shakes it back and forth and invites you to play a different game, one of chase. Game on.
He loves other dogs, but can sometimes forget how big he is, so he needs to continue to work on his play style. His perfect home would be a home where his partner works from home, loves to watch movies with his best friend by his feet, doesn’t mind a wet sloppy kiss or a big head laying in your lap, likes to go on long walks or runs and loves to have fun, all tempered with, most importantly, leadership, guidance and some boundaries and continued training. Despite his size, he does like to cuddle too.
If you are interested in meeting this dog, please fill out our online application first. Contact us via email at firstname.lastname@example.org. The minimum adoption donation ranges from $300 to $400. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible. Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis. Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
