Chief has a sad story to tell. He was found laying next to his owner who had died. After that, the relatives dumped him at the shelter! We don’t know anything more about his prior situation, but apparently they were not managing his diet very well. Chief weighed nearly 160 lbs when he joined Coastal! Since then he has been getting daily walks and weekly swim lessons with volunteers. Now he jumps into the pool and swims laps all by himself! Chief is friendly with people and most other dogs. If you are ready to focus on his health and happiness, then Chief might be the perfect companion for you.
