Bowie is had a tough time in his short life, but he was welcomed into Coastal’s pack and is learning that life is good. When he was found he had wounds from an attack of some kind, possibly dog or coyote. He went to the shelter with wounds on his chest and arms. He got the medical attention he needed and his wounds healed. The shelter realized he would need extra care in finding a home, and they reached out to us.
When Bowie first came to his foster home, he was very frightened of the other dogs. But he has learned that they are safe and he even welcomes and initiates play with his foster brother and sisters who like his energy. He needs a home with a confident dog that he can watch and learn from and patient humans who will continue to help him socialize and broaden his horizons slowly and safely. He needs only good experiences now. Because of Bowie’s rough start and his fears, he needs a home without young children.
If you are interested in meeting Bowie, please fill out our online application first. Contact us via email at email@example.com. The minimum adoption donation ranges from $300 to $400. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible. Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis. Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
